New test principles for the award of GS marks
Since most recently, there are three new test principles for awarding the GS mark. These concern the fire extinguishing sprays, the safety cabinets for the storage of flammable liquids or pressurised gas cylinders and for the first time safety cabinets for the active or passive storage of lithium-ion batteries.

By means of a normative kerosene fire, containers for the storage of radioactive wastes have been subjected to a large-scale firing over a specified period of time.

-NEW- acquisition of special facility for testing fire behaviour in accordance with DIN EN 16733:2016-07
Additional stipulations on the smouldering behaviour are to be placed on construction products which must fulfil building regulation non-combustible or flame retardant requirements.
New laboratory floor
MPA Dresden GmbH is adding a complete laboratory floor to the test centre's existing fire extinguishing equipment and fire extinguishing media test building.

MPA Dresden has been recognised in respect of the implementation of plinth fire tests within the scope of the DIBt approval process.
