Fuel hoses
This Standard establishes the general requirements and physical tests for fire resistant hoses through which petrol or a petrol-ethanol mixture or diesel or a diesel- FAME mixture is conveyed. These are hoses with an inside diameter of up to and including 10 mm designed for positive operating pressures not exceeding 0.34 MPa and hoses with an inside diameter of up to 63 mm for positive operating pressures not exceeding 0.25 MPa for watercraft with a hull length of up to 24 metres.
The Standard applies for hoses on small watercraft with permanently installed fuel systems. It does not apply for hoses within the spray guard at the stern of the craft which are directly connected to an outboard motor.
