Railway – components of rail vehicle construction (railway application)
Part 2 of EN 45545 establishes the fire protection requirements on materials and components for rail vehicles in accordance with EN 45545‐1. The operational and design categories in accordance with EN 45545‐1 are used to determine the hazard level (HL) to which the requirements of the classification system are orientated.
For each hazard level, Part 2 specifies the test methods, test conditions and requirements on the fire behaviour test.
